Thursday: Our journey begins on Thursday morning with a departure from Antigua in a comfortable private bus. As we make our way to Chichicastenango, you'll have the opportunity to witness the vibrant energy of the local market, where indigenous artisans showcase their traditional crafts and produce. After exploring the market, we'll continue our journey to Kumarkaj, an ancient Mayan archaeological site nestled in the highlands of Guatemala. Here, you'll discover the remnants of an ancient civilization and learn about the fascinating history of the region.

Evening: After a day of exploration, we'll arrive in Santa Cruz del Quiché, where you'll check-in to your accommodation for the night. Settle into your surroundings and enjoy a relaxing evening in this charming town, surrounded by the natural beauty of Guatemala's highlands.

Friday: On Friday, we'll set out to explore the town of Joyabaj, known for its rich cultural heritage and traditional practices. Here, you'll have the opportunity to visit local cofradías, or religious brotherhoods, where you'll learn about the unique customs and rituals that have been passed down through generations. In the afternoon, we'll witness the awe-inspiring Palo Volador ceremony, a traditional Mayan ritual in which participants soar through the air attached to a spinning pole, symbolizing the connection between earth and sky.

Evening: After a day of cultural immersion, we'll return to Santa Cruz del Quiché for another night of rest and relaxation. Take some time to reflect on the experiences of the day and soak in the beauty of Guatemala's rich cultural heritage.

Saturday: On Saturday morning, we'll journey to the ancient ruins of Mixco Viejo, where you'll step back in time to explore the remnants of a once-thriving Mayan city. Wander through the maze of stone structures, temples, and plazas, and imagine life in this ancient civilization centuries ago. After our visit to Mixco Viejo, we'll continue our journey to the market of San Juan Sacatepéquez, where you'll have the opportunity to browse for unique handicrafts and interact with local artisans.

Afternoon: As our journey comes to a close, we'll return to Guatemala City, where you'll bid farewell to the stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage of Guatemala's highlands. Reflect on the memories made and the experiences shared during our three-day adventure, knowing that the beauty and history of this enchanting region will stay with you forever.
