BEFORE YOU TRAVEL

Live Guatemala organizes tours, excursions, transportation, and travel experiences throughout Guatemala.

Your reservation includes the services listed in your booking confirmation. Anything not specifically included, such as personal expenses, optional activities, travel insurance, medical assistance, evacuation, or passenger-requested changes, remains the responsibility of the traveler.

IF YOUR PLANS CHANGE

Refunds are based on the cancellation date and the type of service reserved.

Tours, Circuits & Travel Programs

For shuttle and transportation bookings, cancellations received 4 days or more before the scheduled service qualify for a 50% refund.

The remaining 50% is retained as a cancellation charge.

Cancellations made less than 4 days before departure and no-shows are non-refundable.

Services that a traveler chooses not to use are not refundable, including unused transportation, activities, meals, accommodation, or other booked services.

CHANGES DURING YOUR TRIP

Travel conditions in Guatemala can occasionally require adjustments.

Live Guatemala may change schedules, routes, vehicles, accommodations, activities, or pickup arrangements because of weather, traffic, road conditions, construction, road closures, safety concerns, government restrictions, or circumstances beyond our control.

When necessary, accommodation may be replaced with another property of a similar category.

YOUR LUGGAGE

The standard allowance is one carry-on bag and one suitcase per traveler.

Additional luggage costs US$5 per piece, subject to available space.

Please advise us before departure if you are traveling with oversized, bulky, or additional luggage.

Travelers are responsible for their personal belongings.

If baggage loss or damage is directly attributable to Live Guatemala, liability is limited to 10% of the documented actual value, unless a higher value was declared beforehand and the applicable additional charge was paid.

Fragile, perishable, and specially handled items are carried at the traveler’s own risk.

RESTRICTED ITEMS AND ANIMALS

Illegal drugs, prohibited substances, compressed gases, hazardous materials, and other restricted items cannot be transported.

Animals, including dogs and cats, are not permitted unless expressly authorized in writing before the service.

RESPONSIBILITY

Live Guatemala cannot be held responsible for delays, changes, interruptions, or missed connections caused by traffic, accidents, weather, road conditions, construction, closures, demonstrations, roadblocks, public disturbances, government restrictions, force majeure, or third parties.

The company is also not responsible for theft, robbery, assault, vandalism, or loss of belongings caused by third parties.

INSURANCE

Transportation services are operated with the vehicle insurance required by applicable Guatemalan regulations.

Any claim is subject to the applicable insurance coverage, limits, exclusions, and procedures.

TRAVELER INFORMATION

Accurate booking information must be provided before the trip.

Special dietary requirements, mobility considerations, additional luggage, or other relevant needs should be communicated in advance.

Additional charges or service modifications may apply when important information is not provided beforehand.
